Plein Air Gets Second Lift of Asphalt Throughout Neighborhood

May 2014 Neighbors awoke to the sounds of steamrollers, asphalt trucks, and spreaders invading as the sun rose on Wednesday of last week. Lehman-Roberts, the mid-south's leading asphalt company, rolled in to put down the much needed "second lift" of asphalt at Plein Air. Typically when neighborhoods are developed a "first lift" of two inch high asphalt is poured and then at some point in the future the second lift is added. Generally the second lift is 1-2" in height and allows water to reach drains more easily, makes roads smoother, and stronger.
